Hi Upwork Community,

I am new to this community and am eager to learn and be a success.  Now to land my first Client.

What do you all suggest should I first try something on a parttime basis being that I am new, or should I

just go for it.

Thanks for your advice.

You can't just jump in and expect to start getting clients or making enough money to survive right away. It takes time to build up a client list and your portfolio.

You should also make sure that you have enough money saved up to get you through the lean times when there might not be much work.

I would recommend starting off part time and if that goes will then turn it into a full-time occupation

Definitely go part time until you build up a client base that can sustain you for full time.  David is spot on. Unless you have a backup don't put all your eggs in one basket.  Welcome and good luck!!!
