New to Upwork, the Client has verbally agreed to work. What are the correct next steps?

Greetings,

I am new to Upwork and have been liaising with a client after I sent through a proposal.

We've verbally agreed on committing to the work.

What are the next steps to follow and whose responsibilities are they?
i.e. does a contract need to be setup? If so, by the client or freelancer etc

Also, how does one setup payment options? Apologies for the noob questions

Thank you for reaching out to us. You were not hired for this job and shouldn't provide any work until your client sends you an offer and a contract is created under your My Jobs tab. You may want to share this help article with your client so that they can send you an offer.
