Person wants to sign up to Upwork but has not been approved

I know of someone who has tried to sign up to Upwork but has not been approved.

Why is this happening with brand new accounts?

Because there are far too many freelancers on Upwork

 and no more are needed in almost all categories.

Every day, an incredible 10,000 try to sign up. Of those, only 2% are accepted.

Of those 2% who are accepted, about 90% will never earn a single Dollar.
