I'am a newbie on this site, and have similar problem, and missed my contract, because it's expired 2 days ago. How can i contact with the employer, because he's no more in the chat?! I think the support, can send him a message, via e-mail or phone.

No way, sorry. You can search for jobs from client then apply again.
Upwork wont contact client about that.
