Like everything else, it is tough at the start. I had to submit lots of proposals when I started at upwork six years ago. You should learn to create the perfect proposal that catches the eye of the client. Be a professional! Be creative and innovative! Try out new ideas. Once you get it rolling, you will have loads of work on upwork. Check out this link: https://www.upwork.com/hiring/for-freelancers/how-to-create-a-proposal-that-wins-jobs/

Your profile is set to private so I can't view it to give you recommendations.
Be smart about which proposals you apply to. Make sure they are properly aligned with your skillset. Write custom stand-out proposals.
