Unable to add local bank account

I am getting this message i.e. "Due to US government regulations, this payment method cannot be added. Please add a payment method that complies with US legal requirements" while adding the local bank account of India.

Please assist.

Hi Priyanka, 

To see which payment methods are available to you, please log into your account, click on “Settings,” then “Get Paid,” and choose “Add Method.” All of your options will be listed there. Check out this help article for more information.
