I did a mile stone for my last work. Because of lack of communication with client, I ended contract. He didnt pay anything.
You made a mistake. Why did you end the contract? When you end a contract, you send any money in escrow back to the client.
When you have a funded milestone and submit the work properly, you are paid 14 days afterward if the client does nothing... but when you closed the contract, you basically said "No, I don't want to be paid!"
