blog website and LinkedIn URL put on proposal clarification

Hi,

I am the new guy on Upwork.

I am wondering about linking to oustide URL on the proposal. 

In my spare time, I write my blog on my website and post on Linkedin. The article fits with the skills I highlighted on Upwork. If I put my blog URL and LinkedIn URL on my proposal, it does not break the rule on Upwork? I want clarification and make sure I follow rules of Upwork. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your message. Freelancers can share their external portfolios via proposals. We understand that portfolios are an important part of a freelancer’s bidding process to show off their past work and their potential to complete a future project. That is why we are not prohibiting the sharing of external links to personal portfolios or other websites that provide examples of past work. However, we do not allow sharing links to your social media profiles such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Please make sure to keep all communication (until the contract is in place) and payments on Upwork to avoid account interruption due to TOS violations.
