In late January, Upwork is rolling out more detailed invoices for US Payroll service clients. Starting on January 12, clients will gain extra layers of insight that break down costs by department, taxes, and now, payroll fees, making it easy for finance teams to allocate spend. Administrators and hiring managers can also dig into this data in their transaction histories. With this feature enhancement, there are no new fees and no changes to current payroll fees.
These clients will experience the benefits of automated payroll data processing and invoicing:
- Marketplace
- Enterprise Standard
- Enterprise Compliance WPP and Non-WPP
- Anyhire
Marketplace clients can locate the new detailed breakdown of payroll fees and charges by selecting Transaction History at the top of the navigation menu.
Enterprise clients can find Payroll service fee details for Payroll contracts in the monthly invoice and support files.
“For the longest time, clients have wanted visibility into freelancer payout and Upwork's fees. This detailed breakdown will give them the desired visibility,” shares Product Manager Kunal K.
With this improved feature, clients will experience enhanced transparency of payments made to freelancers as well as Upwork’s fees for payroll transactions.
