i have trublle with Identity Verification, i live in lebanon, and the only way to verify my identity in lebanon is with passport, but i dont have passport,  is there any other way to work on this platform ?please i need help ASAP

Hi, I want to identify my id so I can keep working on Upwork but the current picture on my profile is of my brother. Now I am unable to change the picture because it say verify your identity first. So what should I do now? I want to set my own profile picture instead of my brother so I can verify my identity. Thanks.

Hello there,

So I was trying to do the ID verification. Entered my details, uploaded a photo of my passport. When I press upload and next, it keeps loading on the Identity verification page, saying "This should only take a minute". But when I reload the page, I get the "We're reviewing your ID, which can take up to 1 business day." message.Should I reupload or wait?

I get this error message whenever I try to verify my account from Identity Verification. Not sure what seems to be the problem.

It doesn't look like you need to verify your account yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to users of Upwork. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account with more information on how you can complete the verification process.

We're gradually rolling out ID verification badge to all earning talent. That means that if a freelancer isn't yet eligible to complete their account verification, they will not see the option in their settings. They can't pro-actively request it, but we'll definitely send a notification once they're eligible.

I tried to upload my Governemnt ID for verification, and I think it failed because my license was obatined in Massachusetts, whereas I currnetly reside in Maryland. I would like to resolve this issue, so that my account no longer has a hold placed upon it.

Thank you for emailing me the link to have my Government ID confimred. Upon uploading my ID at the link, I was taken to a pop-up that said I would be confirmed within 24 hours. It has now been around 36 hours. Want to ensure everything is being kept up to date.

Hello! I would like to ask if I can use Voter's Certification as a substitute for Voter's ID. Since, here in the Philippines, the government doesn't issue Voter's ID anymore to prioritize the National ID release.
Please Reply. I need to verify my account before June 30, 2022. I don't have any other IDs since PhilHealth ID is not accepted here on Upwork and if I get other IDs like Passport, NIC etc., it would take days even more than a week or so.

Hello , I had uploaded my ID document for identity verification and had completed visual verification as well. it's been more that 24 hours now, My ID hasn't been verified yet. I am on hold because of it. I would like to have an urgent support on this.

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

You may be asked to complete a visual verification and provide a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.
