Hi Insha,

I appreciate you reaching out to us for help. I understand that your JSS did not improve in the recent update. Please remember that JSS updates every two weeks. The previous update was on August 20; the most recent is today, September 3.

For your JSS to change, any of the factors below have to happen between the updates.

  • Receive good or bad public or private feedback from one or more clients.
  • Your score can change if good or poor outcomes fall out of your best score window, or if jobs started months ago mature into long-term relationships. Think of 24, 12, 6, and 3-month computation windows.
  • A higher-value ($$$) job is added to your score and outweighs lower-value jobs (in a negative or positive outcome).

These factors affect your scores. We cannot share the exact algorithm. However, the factors above should give you an idea of what can influence the change in your JSS.

Hi Insha,

In order for a contract to be counted towards your JSS, it has to have an outcome. Meaning, it needs to be completed or ended. Once the contract has been completed, the client can leave feedback on the contract and that will count towards the computation of your JSS. If the contract is long-term, it will weigh more in your JSS calculation.

Please remember that a contract has to be completed or closed in order to be considered for JSS.

I hope you'll find this information helpful.
