"Mediocre" content created without human involvement will have poor effectiveness in engagement and brand perception vs "hybrid" content of experienced marketers working with AI to reduce the labor in content creation. Maybe over time the AI-only content will get better, but master marketers, provided they invest the time, will always be able to lift AI content from good to great.
It's not very different from when the internet became popular. It was and still is possible to have a booming business without a presence on the web. It's also possible to have a business (e-commerce?) go nowhere if it relies solely on a bad website. Combining the non-web marketing with web-based marketing is key.
