Amend contract to milestone payments in stead of lump sum

Hello.

I did a contractor with an illustrator and addedd milestones for payments in the contract.  I uploaded my funds to escrow.  Now when I want to make a payment for the first milestone it doesnt have the option to release part of the funds and has saved it as the whole lump sum.  I then added milestones thinking it would separate the whole amount into those milestones but has instead doubled the contract amount.  How do i fix this?  I have gone around in circles and been directed everywhere BUT where I can get help. There is no phone number for support but only redirection to Ask-Crew online pirates!

Help would be greatly appreciated.

You can release partial payment as well...when freelancer submit a work you can review and release fund accordingly 

If illustrator send a file via chat you can request to submit small file (just for formality process) to release partial payments by you which is in work review section
