Download PDF invoices via the Upwork API

Hi

Is it possible yet to download PDF invoices via the API?

We need to do this to integrate with our accounting system (Xero).

Otherwise, we have to have someone manually log in, set a time period and click "download invoices" from the "Transaction history" page. This manual process is prone to errors if someone downloads an incorrect date range.

We therefore need to setup automatic download of the PDFs using the API (or alternatively, to enable automatic emailing of the invoices to our billing email address, but there is apparently no option for this yet).

So is there a way to download the invoices via the API?

Unfortunately, downloading PDF invoices via the Upwork API is not currently supported. However, you may be able to work around this limitation by manually downloading the invoices and then integrating them with your accounting system. Point generative AI at the location of the invoices and instruct it to read and download.

An interesting idea! We'd be pretty worried about putting genAI into our bookkeeping loop unsupervised.

Setup a custom GPT and yes always check the output until the technology becomes more stable for that type of function. The premium version of ChatGPT can run out of GPU access and cause these types of functions at times not to work properly.
