Hi,
I am a freelancer who became a client. The freelancer and I agreed on a fixed price. when the work was delivered, there was an additional amount as the "amount asked". I only had the initial budget in my account, but now I owe the rest of the amount to Upwork. How do I clear my account without paying the extra money?

I checked and it looks like the freelancer requested more than the amount that was in Escrow for the milestone. Unfortunately, it does look like you approved the milestone. This is why you see the balance on your account since you accepted to pay this by approving the milestone. When you review a Milestone you have the option to request changes or edit the amount to be released. I would suggest you discuss the situation with the freelancer and hopefully come to an agreement. If that's not possible you have the option to dispute for 30 days.
