You need to watch the progress while freelancers work. You have screenshots, able to chat, see description. If something goes wrong then you need to stop working ASAP. You can do it. Unhappy with work - fire him, hire someone else.
Or hire a project manager. He will select freelancers, watch works, and take action ASAP when required.
