Thank you for your time. Could you also take a moment to review my profile and let me know if there are any changes or additions I should make?

Hey there, no worries, I will check it in the next couple days.

Hey Hamidreza,

I feel that the introduction is to wordy, I feel that you have to much going on. Clients want to see a punch line, some quick details and than may be some bullet points. Add more portfolio items, add videos, add certifications if you have them and so on. The idea here for you is to showcare your work as much as possible.

Let me know any questions

Hey Afkaar,

I hope all is good, below are some quick details, sorry, I have been super busy:

1. I feel that your introduction is way to long, it would be good to fix that, cleaner and shorter.

2. You need to work on your reviews, focus on that, Do a good job with clients.

3. The portfolio and project catalog look good

4. Add some certifications if you can on here, that would be great

5. Try to get some additional testimonials and see if you can get those added.

6. Add a video.

Thanks for your comments. Based on your review to optimize my profile, I will be updating it.

Great - Good Luck!

Perfect - Keep me updated

Whatever you're doing seems to be working, but your rate being listed as $200 but the vast majority of your contracts being billed at $60/hour would be kind of a red flag for me, as a client. I only saw one with a higher rate, at $100/hour. You said the discrepancy is due to legacy clients... but I don't see a single recent or in progress contract where you bill at $200. What's up with that?

I have been on the platform now for 15 years. Full time for most of that time, a lot more than full time really.

That doesn't answer my question...

can u please help me , im a newbie

I will have a look at your profile, no worries

ahh, with the $200, those are mainly for consultations, for the longer term clients, that is done at a lower rate.

At the lower price points, I would also get a TON of invited of clients who wanted to hire for $10 an hour. The $200 keeps them alway. To bad I pretty much get 2-3 invited a month now!

Hello Samer. Good morning. Could you please take a look at my profile - I have not had a gig in months and I am super good. I get gigs outside Upwork from referrals who keep referring others- which means it is not likely a skills issue.

I will be very happy if my profile is reviewed. Thank you: https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~0168ac08476486030e

Hi Sam, in all your 400+ freelance jobs on Upwork, do you use a freelance contract agreement of your own on top of the TOS provided by Upwork or other platforms?  Just curious how you protect yourself and if you have ever been screwed by not using a contract (payment, ownership of work issues, etc.)  Thanks!

Hey Alena, I just use whatUpwork has, I never really have an issue, I look at it that everything i develop (in most cases) is owned by the client. Yes, i have had a couple chargebacks and I just dealt with it. Luckily, Upwork was able to reverse those, I had to provide a lot of paperwork.

Hi Samer! Impressive! I may not be much help to you, I am new here. But I do use a freelance contract agreement if you are interested. Here it is if you want it: Freelance Agreement

No worries. Thank you!

Had a look, Nice service!

Hi,

I have some Clients who contact me and usually ask me one question. How much costs?

I am confused and can not answer right now. I only said within around the minimum and maximum amount that Clients proposed in their Posts. Or I mentioned they can propose the budget they expect for projects that they need to hire.

But, they keep silent and don't answer.

I don't understand the reason. Because my background is strong and good then they contact or proactive to find me. But Why do they only ask one question "How much cost?" and keep silent?
If I suggest one detail amount of figure, I think that there will be many others suggest lower...
I only want to work, I don't understand.

Just reply to the client and ask them for more details.

Thank you so much, Samer B.

Whenever a client asks this question, I respond "That's like asking a chef, how much does it cost to make dinner?" - Any contractor needs more information in order to provide an accurate bid to avoid confusion later.  It's shocking that the vast majority of clients don't understand this.

I see that they almost only want to bid and to get lowest costs, lowest price.

They treat like this, I can't win Offers, unitl now many Post still there, not final hire anyone for long time.

Because I know, I suggest the price that I can do, and others want to get contract, they will ready give lower prices than me. And I also lose.
I only want to work and fair both of sides and within acceptance threshold sides.
