Affect on JSS.

Could you please answer this for me?

A client has treated me in a very disrespectful way and I want to end the contract with her but knowing her, I'm sure she would not leave me a good feedback. I fear that her single bad review will affect my JSS.

Also, what is better - she ends the contract or I do?

Hi Kanika,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. All Upwork users have the ability to end a contract at any time, though it is always best if everyone is aware of what's going on and in agreement about it. If your client ends the contract on her end, she will be prompted to leave feedback while doing so. If you end the contract, she will be notified that the contract has been closed and that she has 14 days to leave feedback before the period closes. You can read more about how JSS is calculated here, if your client does leave feedback it will be considered in the calculation.

End the contract and hope she doesn't bother to leave a review. 

With very limited exceptions, there is no escaping the client's review once you agree to a contract. That's the deal. If you are Top Rated you can use a perk to occaisionally exclude 1 review from your JSS.
