Asking for past testimonials: with NO linkedin account?

Hi everyone!

I just joined and trying to complete my profile. 

When asking for past work testimonials, Upwork won't let me click the "Request Testimonial" button if I do not enter a LinkedIn profile --- what if my client is not on LinkedIn?

The client is required to have a LinkedIn account in order to request a testimonial. This is used to verify the validity of the testimonial. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. You can learn more about testimonials here.
