Changes to W-9 based upon a change in business organization?

I am currently contracting under my own name, with my home address, and with my Social Security Number.

In the future, I may set up a separate DBA, with a fictitious business name, with a separate business address, and with an employer identification number.

Can I enter my personal information into Upwork now for my W-9, and then change it in the future when (if) my DBA is set up? Or is W-9 information "locked"?

Hi John,

You will be able to update your account information according to your needs.  Although your profile itself needs to be in your name, you will be able to include your company name in your profile and in your settings (under "Tax Information"), and use your company's Tax ID, as well.  If your "business name" is different from your personal name in your account information, then your business name will also appear on your invoices to your clients.
