Hey guys,
I've been working with a client for almost a year. I just requested a raise and was approved!
What is the best way to change an existing contract? Is this something I can do on my end?
The client issued a new contract with the new rate. Should I end the previous contract? I just want to make sure it doesn't lower the % which is now at 5%.
What do you recommend?
Thank you!

Hi Robin,
Congratulations on that raise! As a freelancer, you can only lower your hourly rate on an existing contract, here's how your client can raise it on their end. You can click on the offer to see that the Freelancer Service Fee has already been calculated at 5%. Since the sliding fee is based on your lifetime billings with the client it will remain at 5% even on new contracts.
