Feedback represents the user's opinion, and because of this, we can't edit it or investigate it for accuracy. If you have issues with feedback, please discuss it with your client directly. If the client agrees to revise their feedback, you can enable feedback changes from within the contract.

Keep in mind a client can only change his/her original public feedback, which means they cannot change their original private feedback for you.

We have been told public feedback has little if any effect on the calculation of your Job Success Score. Private feedback, on the other hand, has a significant effect on the calculation of your Job Success Score.

At any rate, be sure to post a reply to their initial public feedback that accurately and succinctly addresses the complaints a former client has posted about you. Let other freelancers know what they are in for when deciding to work for this person.

Try to earn Top Rated status on Upwork as soon as possible. This will allow you to occasionally have public and/or private client feedback removed from your profile and from the calculation of your Job Success Score.
