I am curious what other freelancers think. In particular, in the technology field I see a small number of projects that are definitely a student's project for a class they are taking. Just to be clear, I am not asking if I should do it, I just wonder if YOU would do it.
My question is,
Do you bid on these?
or
Do you think this is unethical for someone to pay to have their classwork done?

I've read quite a few cases like this. In summary:
- It's actually against the rules (if it's truly academic fraud, not "mentoring")
- But it's actually allowed
As for ethics, it's up to you. Even the Google Play Scamming Network (that are also against Upwork's rules) runs freely here.
But beware when there's a problem in payment, you will not get the protection because they will say it that the job is against the rules. And also from what I read, some of these students tends to scam as well.

Not only is it unethical, it is also against the rules. However, as Radia said, it is allowed. Many jobs are posted by people who don't want to do the work. I'm not going to break the rules, and I'm also not going to help anyone cheat.
