Getting job invites even though availability is switched off

I have closed invites to new job proposals until next year. Can anyone tell me why clients are still able to send me job invites when I have my availability switched off?

Because you haven't set your profile to private. The availability is only an information on your profile, but does not preclude clients from sending you invites.
