Got refunded Connects from an interview. Am I still in the running for the job?

I just got refunded Connects from an interview. I would like to know if I'm still a candidate for the job or if that's like a "Thanks for playing, good luck to you" kind of send-off.

Yes. You get connects back for some replies. Has to be a client with a history and probably a reasonable spend, so no $5 feedback farmer clients.

Keep in mind if a job has been removed by Upwork for some type of violation you would also get your connects returned to you.

I guess I'll answer my own question now, in case it's helpful to someone. Turns out I did get hired after all. The client just took a while to choose. So, if you get Connects refunded for an interview, you are still in the running and may or may not get the job.
