Job Posting Unattended to (Connects Wasting)

Now that we have to use money to buy connects to bid for jobs , Some Clients post a job and never come back to view or even interview candidates who have sent a proposal.
Connects just stays glued to those proposals and when you check you see the last time the client viewed the job was the day they posted and this is 15 days later.

I think Upwork should have the rights to close job openings if clients don't attend to them within a number of days and refund connects back to freelancers.

The connects are the cost of entry to participate in the process. There are dozens of posts on this website talking about this very subject. Please review them.

If everyone could bid on an unlimited number of jobs for free, every job would have dozens, potentially hundreds of bids on it, and drive away the clients. Wolud you want to be competing against 100+ people on every job?

Upwork's business model isn't about enriching the lives of freelancers. Does this make sense? Their job is to find talent for their paying customers, who will then hire that talent, so they can make a commision.

As far as clients posting jobs, then never coming back to review them, that happens a lot, but Upwork can't, and sholudn't be able to make them come back, or refund connects. If you were applying for a job in a brick and mortar business, would you expect an interview on every job to which you applied?

Every business has expenses just to be, and stay in business. Freelancers are no different.
