Keep last name blank/empty

In my supporting document, I do not have the Last name mentioned. Only my first name "Rita" is mentioned in my all documents. How I can keep the last name field in my profile edit to empty/blank? Currently, I set my last name as "R" as Upwork was not allowing me to leave my last name blank. What if I leave the last name "R" only and when upwork will verify my document and will find the last name not there then that can it be a problem for the verification of my profile?
