I am still waiting for Upwork to help me change my tax id and residence without automatically changing it on all old invoices already issued on my old tax ID. In the meantime I am trying to earn my living with workarounds and asking existing long term clients not to open and approve milestones until this issue has been resolved, but alas, one did open a milestone and pay me on a company that does not exist any more. I need you to refund this money immediately, void the invoices that Upwork automatically issued and let me know how to prevent this from happening again without actually having to close my Upwork account.
