Newbie is this a scam ?

I’m new to upwork and have sent a few proposals off today. One of the clients contacted me to ask to set up a Skype interview and that the posting will be removed from upwork. Shouldn’t everything be conducted via upwork. Client has 0 hires and no verified payment. Is this a scam ?

In most cases, people who asks to continue the discution offsite are scamer.

It is not recommended to discuss with client offsite. Even Upwork terms of services does not allow it.

Yes. Scam. Only scammers tell you "that the posting will be removed from upwork".
