Newly retired and new to freelance... is my profile ok

Newly retired and new to freelance... is my profile ok

Could someone please have a look at my profile and give me some feedback?

I recently retired since my children have left home. I decided to utilize my skills and keep myself occupied, as my house can get too quiet now.

Also when you BID to BOOST on a job application can you go back later and up your bid to stay in the top 4? If so please let me know how.

Clark S already gave you feedback on your post yesterday.

As for boosting, this is a one time boost. You can not bid more after.

Hi Cathy,

I would advise you to begin by upping your hourly rate (to at least $15 an hour): the field you work in is specialised and requires both training and experience, which you state you have. So don't undersell yourself.

Next, I would give much more detail about your previous experience in the field of education - explain how this is relevant to potential clients' needs, and make sure you sound enthusiastic about teh work you have done and propose to do.

Finally - take out the word "retired" and don't bother to tell people your children have left home. Simply, state what your experience is, what your skills are, and what you can offer clients.

Good luck!

Ailsa
