Only a professional tax advisor can tell you for sure, but if you are not a US citizen and are not located in the US when you receive payments from a US person or company, you do not owe income taxes to the US government.
If you were located in the US during any part of a calendar year, you may owe US taxes on those earnings, regardless who was paying you or where they were located.
