Unresponsive Clients?

Anyone else have an issue with unresponsive clients? I've applied to so many jobs through Upwork, and I can probably count on one hand how many have responded within the past few months. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm a top-rated freelancer, if I've included a couple of videos in my profile, or if I even send a video cover letter in my proposals.

Upwork seems so much less viable right now. At this point, I'm just wondering if I'm the only freelancer who barely hears from anyone, and wondering if I should continue using the platform.

At first glance your profile is really confusing. "Empathetic Support Specialist''? Maybe consider editing it. Also, as a client, the last thing I'm going to do is watch a video cover letter. I don't have time for that. Maybe consider a different strategy? 

Top-rated means zilch. Sorry. Everyone is top-rated practically. 

It is difficult. There are lots of tips on the forum about how to streamline both your profile and your proposals.  I would start there and see if you can make your profile more unique, clearer, and standing out.

In my opinion the problem is that Upwork clients are only attracted for cheap freelancers, $4 or $5 per hour, really sad.

Hmmm, wonder how I'm getting work at $75/hr then. Guess we'll never know.
