Upwork Restrictions & Discrimination

My original message had to be sent to the only 2 emails they provide their users, neither of which are for customer support. ONLY AFTER I wrote into their partners & press email accounts did they provide me with a support email address.

Addyson, there are many platforms where you may use an avatar or caricature image instead of a real photo of yourself. You are welcome to use those.

Upwork does not currently let freelancers use such.

Of course I don't want clients to be treated the same as freelancers. Clients pay me money. I don't need to pay them. That difference is a good thing.

Asking freelancers to present real information about themselves, including a profile photo, is part of Upwork's business model. You are not required to support that or participate in that if you don't want to.
