Does Upwork request VAT from Turkey?? I already checked the article but I didn’t get the answer from from it. Does anybody know something about it ?

Upwork currently only charges VAT (assessed on digital services provided by Upwork) to freelancers and agencies in countries listed here. Thank you.

As I checked Turkey is not on the list. That means I don’t need to fill tax informations. But my payment method is still inactive. Why is that ?

Hi Eda,

You will also need to fill out the W-8BEN form as well so that your payment method is activated. To learn more about this, check out this Help Article. Thank you.
