I guess something weird happens on Upwork.
So, being top-rated plus freelancer on Upwork, I got the following:
Apx $300 from new clients during past 6 months!!!!
During past 90 days I received 45 invitations to interviews.
ALL belong to two groups
1. not-relevant or projects with unrealistic expectations (apx 30%)
2. projects authors keep silence after posting them. If you write something, they do not respond!!! (apx 70%)
Also I received one fake invitation from person who looks for job.
NO ONE REAL WORK!
Seems crazy.
If I hadn't been an Upwork member for 10 years, I would have thought that Upwork created bots to make money from our connections. Starting the conversation and keeping the silence when the person responds, is like in real life you instantly turn 180 degree showing your back to this person. I guess Upwork needs to apply some actions against those weird people.
Am I the only person who has the same concerns?

I'm not afraid of competition - I know that my clients aways had a lot of cheaper options, because I don't like to do a lot of cheap project, and I want to choose projects that really interesting and have decent budget. But, since beginning of this year, everything changes for some reason - very few projects in feed, very few interview and 0 hires (to be honest, I have one, but it's just an agency).

Hi Valery, I'm a 3D animator (Top rated plus), working here since it was odesk\elance, and I have same feelings - I'm sending proposals from February, and have 0 real projects. So, I've just spending my money and time for nothing.

Exactly the same here.
I am placing busted bids, 100% being sure about high level of my expertise. No results. People see and keep silence.
Just an example. Placed boosted bid in CAD modeling of guitar project (I specialize in this). Client ignored my bid and started interviewing 7 other freelancers. Looks like they work with cheapest freelancer possible․ The quality is not important for them. It always was this way, but now it reached absurdic level. I have nothing against, just they need to mark themselves somehow. They pretend looking for experts.

Absolutely the same here. I survive only with the help of my ongoing client, visualizer from Austria, who sends me some modeling tasks.

It's probably not you.
I kind of wish these were all gathered into one post, because people title them all sorts of things and then you look through the forums and don't realize how very many similar posts there have been over the last couple of months. Personally I'm experiencing the exact same thing—2023 view/open rate is dismal; no one views, therefore very few new contacts, far fewer than in the past; no views, no contacts = no new jobs
My view rate this past week was the worst it's ever been: 18%. You can't get work this way, even if you always make sure you'd be the very most qualified and best solution for each job you apply to—because what they don't SEE, they can't HIRE.
And LOTS of other very experienced Upworkers are in the same boat.
