This thread has been closed from further replies due to its size. In general, these issues occur when the transactions you’re attempting on your card keep being declined by the bank. Please contact your card-issuing bank for more information about the specific charge decline.

Hi Bhaumik, 


I'm sorry to confirm that the transaction was rejected by your card-issuing bank. Kindly contact your bank directly so that they can share more information on why the transaction was declined. 

In the meantime, feel free to add any alternative payment method so that you can proceed with purchasing Connects for your account.

When I enter the details of my billing card to upgrade my membership I received this error:

We are unable to authorize your card. Please add another billing method or contact your issuing bank.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi Jabar,

 

I would recommend checking with your bank if your account is enabled for international charges or adding another billing method so that you can purchase Connects. Thank you.

Hi,

Paypal charge Failed, even after adding account successfully. I want to add connects into the account, but the it says the "charge failed" as I do the payment.

Could you please check your PayPal account and the preferred payment methods you have set in your Wallet? You may also contact PayPal customer support to check if your account is set up correctly.

Hi, I am from Pakistan. I am experiencing trouble while uploading my billing details. It's not accepting my VISA cadr details and rejecting. Can someone guide me on how to address Billing and Payment issues?
Paypal option is not available for Pakistan, is there a way to around that?

Need your kind help. Thank You.

PS: There is Money in the Card and Online Banking is activated. No issue from Bankside confirmed this from the bank support team, also try caches cleaning and refreshing browser methods but still not worked.

I have entered my bank details on upwork and i am adding my father's card details for billing method to buy connects but upwork is not accepting so please tell me the reason why it is not accepting? Should the bank account details and billing method details be the same?

As long as the owner of the billing method authorized you to use it, you should be able to add it to your account. If any issues arise, Upwork team will notify you directly.

 

Could you please clear your cache and cookies or log in with another browser to check if you`re still experiencing the same issue? Please use this link to see the options available to you and add one of those.

I am trying to Add more connect and after payment option done, it is showing an error "Select the "Add Connects" button to continue". Kindly help me to add more connects.

There are three billing methods available to freelancers, Credit or Debit Card, PayPal, or Upwork Balance. You can use the method you prefer to purchase Connects. Feel free to check this help article for more information on available billing methods.

It looks like the rejection error was from your issuing bank. You may want to reach out to them regarding the specific decline error. You can also use a different billing method instead. To see the options available to you, click here.

Actually I have a question my ATM card expiration date has been extended which I was using to buy connects.
Can I use that by putting the Card details again or will it cause any issue?

And Another thing I wanna ask is that
Can we use someone's else account to buy connects or make a transaction?

Hi Munir,

 

You can add an updated billing method to purchase Connects. You can use someone else's card to purchase Connects so long as you are authorized to use it.
