freelancer plus fee is not fair

Its a pity that i must have a subscription to bid.

Despite taking a 10% cut in the earnings and a dollar cut whenever we transfer money;

I wonder why upwork needs to have a plus membership for bidding.

Dont you think a monthly fee of 15$ is too much in todays cloud / utility computing world ?

You can buy bundles of connects without any membership

well, by utility computing, I meant : why a high upfront recurring charge;

why not just take a cut from earnings if and when we earn or do business.

To deter the people who just clutter the place up and bid month in, month out without earning anything.

Plus, you do **NOT** have to buy monthly membership at all.

You can buy bundles of Connects as and when you need them
