Client haven’t activated contract

Hi, I've started a translation work for a client but they have not activated the contract yet, so there's no trace of any agreement, I sent them a message but there's no answer yet.
what should I do ?

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please keep in mind that you shouldn't provide any work until your client sends you an offer and a contract is created under your My Jobs tab. Please note that any request for free work is not allowed on Upwork, and it is a violation of Upwork's Terms of ServiceAlso, please note that sharing contact information before a contract has started is against Upwork's Terms of Service and that all communications prior to the contract starting must take place on Upwork.

Never get paid or pay someone outside of Upwork. You may open yourself up to scams or fraud, and lose Upwork Payment Protection.

I encourage you to let us know if a TOS violation has happened by using the Flag as Inappropriate option throughout the platform. You can learn more about user reporting here.

Additionally, I would advise you to check this help article and available learning paths in the Academy section to help you get a safe and successful start.

Hi I believe I have been scammed via a post on Upwork.  I was contacted to complete a job as a new freelancer to copy type some images.  It all seemed genuine however I completed the task and was told it would be paid immediately.  When I said could it be paid through Upwork he then informed me that they didn't go through Upwork as they had difficulty with them in the past.  I have done the task but to date not received any money.  Please be careful if you are contacted by a company called **Edited for Community Guidelines**but also go through other names.  Its 100 images which they are supposedly paying $25 for each image.  Just be aware.

Hey Karen, please contact Upwork support.

No, there's no point in doing that. Support can't help if you contact a client off of the platform and agree to work without an Upwork contract. If you do that and get scammed, it's your own fault.

This happened because you agreed to a contract outside of Upwork, which is grounds for being permanently banned. Also, you were not working for any company called**Edited for Community Guidelines**- you were dealing with a scammer, not a person who actually works anywhere. Well-paid typing jobs are all scams.

Go through all of the Upwork Academy materials and learn how to set up a more professional profile as well as how to use Upwork correctly, or you will only encounter more scammers here.
