Cover letters for a noob

Hi all,

I'm new to Upwork(I've had an account, but never used it). I sent 4 proposals in the last couple of days, but no communication from any of the posters. I am (admittedly) writing brief, but clear cover letters. I'm wondering how to customize or tailor the cover letter for the proposals? Thanks in advance.
