Hi, I hope someone here could help me answer my concern. I have been sending proposals since last week. Yesterday, I sent a proposal to this one client who responded me immediately via email through their customer support that says I've been shortlisted. I have provided my resume when I sent the proposal as part of their requirement. I have yet to respond to their email but today I received another follow up email from them. Is this a legit job or a scam? I am new to Upwork and just making sure I don’t get scammed. Many thanks!

Clients are not supposed to email you or contact you outside of Upwork before a contract - the same applies to you.
We cant judge wether this is a scam or not from the information you provided but what is certain is that the client broke the Upwork terms of service.

Hi Crista,
I checked the job post you were referring to and it appears that it's already been taken down because it was in violation of Upwork TOS.
Please check out this course for more tips on staying safe on Upwork and please use the flag option found on each job post or message anytime you’d like to report a violation.
Thank you,
Pradeep
