I translated a file for a specific company and they wanted me to buy a translator’s ID card for $150 and the amount is refundable. Is this normal or a scam?

I worked for a company and they asked me to open an account in Swift World Pay Bank. This bank is asking me to buy certain codes so that I can transfer money to my account in my country. Is this normal?

Hi Aren,

You must not pay the client to hire you or send payment as this will lead to fraud. I checked the job post you were referring to and it appears that it's already been taken down because it was in violation of Upwork TOS.
