Dutch VAT ID not being approved by Upwork

Hi all, Upwork keeps rejecting my VAT ID even though it shows up as valid on VIES. Does anyone have experience on how to solve this? I also can't find how to get through to a human agent. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I'm from Romania and I have a Romanian VAT ID for my company that is verifiable in VIES however, after several tries it keeps not getting approved. Could you please assist?
