Identity Verification

Gov. ID was not approved, and yet it worked on a different page.

Everything shows. It´s not a pristine picture, but everything´s perfectly legible. Not sure how I could take a better picture..

Is there a place I can send it for a personal verification ?

Hi Ahmad,

 

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

 

Freelancers requested to submit identification documents should submit any of the documents listed during the verification process. Note that the list is different for each country.

 

If you do not have any documents from the list, you can submit a different government-issued ID, ensuring it’s unexpired and valid. This will trigger a manual review process. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria. 

 

Please note that your profile must represent you as an individual and that all the information in your profile, including your profile photo, needs to be accurate, truthful, and verifiable. We understand you may have provided a name and/or picture that you would like to update now. If that’s the case, and you’re being asked to verify your identity now, please proceed with submitting your ID and completing your Visual Verification anyways. If there is any issue or mismatch, our team will reach out to you directly to assist you.

 

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.

 

If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

Im trying with another web browser after getting the sms link but still not working . I reattampt so many times until it have warning message overlimit sending verification . Please help me  . Thanks

My account could not be confirmed due to non-clear documents, so I want to verify again, but the page is not diverting towards the identity verification; it is still showing the same, so I would like to suggest that you resolve the problem. I called chat support, but I am not satisfied with the response, therefore I am looking forward to favourable responses. so that i can be verified my identity.

Three Days earlier I got to know that my upwork account was suspended due to not sharing information regarding my identity which include my face photos government ids but after submitting that there was written that we will go through your details and let you know but till now my account is suspended only as i am not able to send proposal. Also it is showing now also that plz submit the face photos and government id but I already submitted that.

When trying to do ID verification it has me take a picture with my phone. However, the camera refuses to focus when I get it close enough to my drivers license.

 

is there a way to review in person, or to submit a photo of my ID by email?

 

I'm a paid member and looking forward to working on this site, but the automated tools are not working for me. Thanks for any help you can provide

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking assistance regarding an issue I'm encountering on Upwork. Despite purchasing connects twice, totaling $90, and sending multiple proposals that meet all requirements, I have not received my verification badge. While I have earned the Rising Talent Badge, the absence of the Verified Badge may be hindering my job prospects.

I've completed all verification processes and provided all required documentation. However, the option for identity verification is no longer available, and unfortunately, there's no direct way to contact Upwork for assistance. Even the chatbot hasn't been helpful.

Securing the Verified Badge could significantly improve my credibility and chances of securing jobs. I'm reaching out to the community for any insights or advice on how to address this issue effectively.

Upwork won't ask you to do verification unless you get a job here. Most new freelancers who join Upwork do not make any money, therefore there's no point in going through the verification process with them.

Im trying to verify my identify and following the steps but the link keeps on redirecting me to this "scan qr code" page.

I tried to scan the code using my phone multiple times but it is just redirecting me to upwork login page then to the same scan qr code on my phone. I also pressed the send text message option multiple times until it reachedd the limit but I haven't received a singe text message. 

I followed all the tips and read articles but it's still not working and keeps on redirecting me to the same scan qr code screen

I have the same issue but I received the text message it sends me a URL that prints 

{"message":"HTTP 404 Not Found"}

I attached the output when I press on the URL sent by you.

I want to start my identity verification process but I can't start as this issue blocks me and requires verifying my mobile device

My verification is failing so many times and it's getting so frustrating.

I think one of the reason is because I'm not able to chnge my profile picture.
