Why hourly payment is still in review. It's almost 7 days passed.

Hi Everone,
This is Muhammad Owais Karni.
I have recently worked with the client who has hired me at the hourly rate of 20$ I have already spent 12 hours working on his project and then there was some issue with the card and he has just ended the contract. However, he has hired other developers as well and also gave me 5-star ratings.

Now, there are almost 240$ in the review. It's been 7 days passed. The payment is still in review. Normally it takes 5-6 days to confirm the payment. As I am also top-rated on Upwork. I would like to know how and when the payment will be released.

It would be great to get help from others.

Thanks and Regards

Muhammad Owais Karni

ACCEPTED SOLUTION

I do not know the dates you worked. You can put your hours in the schedule.

For exemple : For hours worked between May 16 to 22 (Week 1)

Client will be invoiced Monday May 23 and has until Friday May 27 to review (Week 2)

Earning become available next Wednesday (June 1)

You can look at the following schedule to track your payment:

All applicable time that you log in your Work Diary, whether tracked or added as manual time, is invoiced to your client according to the schedule below:

  • Week 1 — You log time using the Upwork desktop app (Time Tracker)
  • Week 2 — Your time is invoiced to your client on Monday, and they have until Friday to review your work
  • Week 3 — Earnings become available on the following Wednesday

Hi Sophie
Thank you for your fast response.
In my case, I have also worked with other clients and tracked the hour on other projects. You can see the hourly payment has already been released from other clients which were 42$ but there is only one payment that is still in review.

Thank you
