Upwork Payment Failures (again and again)

Hello Upwok,
I keep facing the same issues over and over with your payment and I'm really tired to write (again and again) in the community, explain and reexplain to your agents and I guess some of your agents might be frustrated with my continuous complaints. I hope it works better for me and your agents. So far I have two main issues with payments, and I hope somebody can make me two different support tickets:

1. Visa payment declines/payment reversed
I have faced this issue for more than 10 times. At first few cards from different banks were rejected. I reached to community and support agents, they fixed things. And it popped again usually after 2nd or 3rd hire. My balance is more than enough but your payment system always refunded my funds.

2. Double charged fees for withdrawn offer
I have deposited appx $35 for an offer. The freelancer suddenly changed her mind so I withdrew the offer, but your system didn't refund but charged me again for another appx $35. You withhold my money somewhere ($70 in total) and latest support said Upwork investigating it with payment processor. All proofs from bank submitted and It's been 7 days since the issue where Upwork promised the refund should arrive max 5 days.

For Upwork agents, thank you for your patience with me but please do not comment "check the cards with your bank(s)", "please wait for 2-5 days", and other answer templates. Kindly make me 2 different support tickets, one for each issue as my two problems are within the same support ticket and I have to retell the whole problems again to different agents.

For fellow clients, I know both problem 1 and 2 are faced not only by me, but many clients face the same issue. If you are client(s) facing this issue, please help to Upvote below so Upwork can fix the payment system for smoother hiring procedures and payments. The agents and clients, all will be smiling.

Hi Pradeep,
Yes. So far, I have 3 (three) on going issues. But nothing is solved yet. If possible, I'd like Upwork to handle the billing one first, since I cannot continue the works and I have freelancers waiting to start the work. They cannot start the work if I cannot send them contract and I cannot send the contract if your billing system is still having errors.

1 day delay means a lot to us since I have to catch up on my personal deadline with my colleague.

Abraham,

 

Usually those types of issues have to do with your credit card company and their fraud department.

 

Call them and request that they stop declining the card on Upwork.
