I am trying to hire a freelancer but it is showing this message "You don't have a valid billing method on file with Upwork. Please correct this before making an offer."

I just hired another freelancer throught paypal a few days back and it went successful. But now when I try it says this error message.

I have already linked the billing method and also I have tried paying directly by card but still it shows the same error. Also I have the relevant amount in my account to be able to hire.

I am still getting this error don't know why even thought it worked well a few days back.

Please look into this asap.

Hi Ishtmeet,

I checked and it looks like the charge you're referring to failed. Could you please try using a different payment method from your PayPal Wallet?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I tried with my debit card and it stucks on loading and then eventually
shows the “Hire this Freelancer” button.

It does the bank verification for the debit card but still nothing happens.

I tried payment 5-6 times.

Also there is not an issue with the debit card as I tested it by doing a
transaction on gumroad.
