So he keeps inviting me and I keep declining beause it's a really awkward question to ask, especially when it has nothing to do with the related project. So today i accepted him and replied 'My political affliation is none of your business'.  Smiley Very Happy

Just wanted to share.

Clients who ask about your religion/politics etc are almost always a red flag.

I believe the ideal political system is me in charge of everything.

Centre left and very much secular, but not tied to any political party. All for socialism, especially if it includes free booze and Fisherman's Friends.

I was about to answer "none of your darn business" ... untilI I read the post and realized a potential buyer actually was stupid (and callous) enough to ask.

RED Flag - and block the fool ....

Have you ever tried both at the same time?

A full pack of Fisherman's Friend in your mouth at once and then chugging down a big gulp of cold beer through the mix.

That in itself could be a bit of a red-flag discussion. Smiley Happy

You are indeed a very strange man LOL (meant in the nicest possible way)

Back to the original question:

I turned down a very well paid and very large contract once because it would have involved being an advocate for something that that did not align with what I consider right and just (only partly political.)

It was at a time when money was tight but I could not bring myself to ignore my moral compass.

I'm usually up for a challange, but not when it would likely mean a waste of booze (especially not when it also means a waste of Fisherman's Friends).

I doubt the contents of my mouth would remain in my mouth for long.

I would say, in my sweetest voice, "Bless your heart for asking, it's none of your beeswax," and block them.
