Almost all my connects are going to scammers

I signed up to Upwork in July of 2023, so I've been at this for six months and have not been able to win a bid yet.

My main issue is scammers getting the bulk of my connects. They post a job that looks legitimate, I bid, they contact me and end up asking me to go to telegram or something, and I never seem to get my connects back even if I withdrawl my proposal & flag them as a scammer.

Can something be done about this?

Yes. Flag job as scam. Connects will be refunded if job will be deleted by Upwork as ToS violation.

Never withdraw propo, it is unrefundable.

I looked closer at your account and confirmed that the job post you're referring to has been removed and archived. The Connects used in submitting your proposal have also been credited back to your account. You can validate this by visiting your Connects History page.
