Employers asking me to pay security fee

I am new to the platform and empilées wanted to chat on WhatsApp and telegram.  Four employers have asked me to send security fee another asked for employee ID fee. Is it something that happens or I am being scammed?

This is a scam. 

As a new freelancer, there is a lot you need to learn before jumping right in to sending proposals. First, communicating outside of Upwork is a violation of Upwork’s Terms of Service you agreed to when you signed up. Link below.
