Hi Upworkers,

I am from Belgium and fairly new to this platform and see that it could be a nice side income. First of all though, I would know if we need a VAT number? I have no company number nor VAT number, would this be a problem to get the earnings and at the end of the year have problems with the VAT in Belgium?

Can you explain it exactly here as well? For example, I live in Turkey. Will I need to issue an invoice every time I receive a payment?
